St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands
Caneel Bay - Turtle Bay Conference Room

Travel Directions

Please plan to be at Caneel by Monday afternoon, December 5th. The meetings will last through Thursday evening, December 8th. West Coast travelers will likely need to leave a day before the workshop to arrive on time, as it takes a day to travel from the West Coast to the Virgin Islands. East Coast travelers can probably make the trip in just one day (depending on airline schedules).

The airport of arrival is in St. Thomas (STT). There is a transfer fee of $110 per person round trip, from the St. Thomas Airport to Caneel Bay via the Caneel Bay ferry ($55 per child aged 5 - 11, no charge for children under 5). This fee includes the convenience of a Caneel Bay check-in counter at the airport, complimentary refreshments at the airport in a private, air-conditioned lounge, refreshments throughout the 35-minute ferry ride to/from Caneel Bay, plus unlimited number of ferry trips from Caneel Bay to St. Thomas during your stay.

Guests staying at Cinnamon Bay Campground may wish to take advantage of the Caneel Bay Resort round-trip ferry as described above and then take taxis between Caneel and Cinnamon Bay. Please e-mail Cathy Wang, cathy@kestrel.edu, for any questions regarding transportation from the airport.

Passport: It is recommended that you present a valid U.S. Passport (or government issued photo ID and copy of birth certificate) to re-enter the U.S. from the Virgin Islands. More information about traveling to U.S. territories can be found on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website at http://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/980/kw/Passport requirements USVI/
